Barra de Potosi can be accessed by two routes.

1) Traveling south past the airport on route 200, take a left at Los Achotes onto the recently paved road that takes you through the village of Los Achotes ( that portion through is still unpaved at this time, but route provides the easiest access.

2) Follow 200 to airport entrance road. Take a right turn just before reaching the entrance to the airport parking lot. This is a beachside dirt road skirting the airport. You will get the feeling you are going in the wrong direction since Barra de Potosí is at the southern end of the long stretch of beach known as Playa Larga and Playa Blanca. Just continue south on this dirt road until it ends at Barra de ¨Potosi.
